They are survived by their three children, Candace Tompkins, Zoe Tompkins and Philip Tompkins.

• She was very close to both of her parents. So when they died she didn't know how to take it. She broke up with her on and off again boyfriend Sam Van Brunt and moved to Manhattan the next day. She just needed to 'get away' for a while. She was 20 years old when she left and had no clue that Sam was going to propose to her.
• Best friends with Kaltain Van Tassel since preschool. However the two grew apart when she moved away since she refused to come home and see her.
• Aside from Kaltain, Zoe didn't return anyone's calls when she left, not even her siblings. The only reason they knew she was okay was because of Kaltain. 
• John Doe wasn't in the City when Zoe was living in Sleepy Hollow so she doesn't know him. Caroline Fisher went to school with Zoe but she didn't know her very well. She beat up Henry once when he stole all of her brothers clothes while he was changing in the locker room at school. She was suspended for three days.

• After his parents deaths Philip became more of a loner then he was before. As a result he was picked on a lot in high school. Henry Irving and his friends were the worst and would do awful things to him. However a couple months after Henry started to go out with Cassandra he matured a bit and stopped.
• Philip had been best friends with Cassandra since elementary school, but the two grew apart when she started to hang out with the popular kids in High School. 
• He writes and draws his own superhero comics and hopes to become the next Stan Lee. He is currently working on a female super hero comic titled The Huntress, a hero Cassandra and him thought up when they were kids. The main character is named Sasha Lux and she is a force to be reckoned with.
• He was in his dorm room, by himself, working on Then Huntress when the triple homicide occurred. 
• He is all too familiar with Henry Irving and avoided his presence at all costs. Caroline Fisher was a couple years older and tutored him in math to help him pass his midterm, however he failed the exam. He saw the Homeless Man downtown a lot but never spoke to him.
